Round slings

Lifting straps are, as the name suggests, used for lifting. Lifting straps consist of two major groups: lifting straps with reinforced loops and endless lifting straps (or round slings).

They consist of fibers in a protective, wear-resistant cover. The extra-strong, water- and dirt-repellent fabric guarantees a longer lifespan. The lifting slings are manufactured in accordance with European standards EN 1492-1 and EN 1492-2, which stipulate, among other things, that:

• Lifting straps and round slings are suitable for use and storage at -40°C to 100°C.
• The color of the label indicates the material the lifting straps are made of. Ours is always blue, as the lifting straps are made of polyester.
• The color code indicates the working load limit (WLL) or safe working load. Additionally, the slings have tonnage markings (each marking represents 1 tonne), and each 30 mm of strap width represents 1 tonne of load capacity.
• The safety factor is 1:7 or the breaking strength of the core is 7 x the working load limit.
• The way the lifting strap is used impacts the safe working load.
• Each lifting strap must be traceable using both a batch and serial number. This is indicated on each lifting strap (on the blue label), as well as on the shipping note and invoice.

To ensure our products meet these standards, we have them inspected by TÜV and hold TÜV certificates for our lifting straps.
